Vardo Riserva ~ Colli Maceratesi Red Doc | 2014

Mainly hand-picked Sangiovese and Cabernet grapes. This wine, aged for 12 months in barrique, has a deep ruby red color with violet reflections, with a good consistency. The nose is clear and intense in the fruity and spicy notes, from black cherries to licorice and pepper. Enveloping to the taste, rich, with soft tannins, with a long and fruity finish. Excellent with meat first courses, with vincisgrassi (a typical Marche pasta dish) and with red meat dishes.

Soil Type: Sandstone and Limestone.

Grapes: Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and other Black Grapes.

Aging: 12 months in Barrique, 6 Months in Bottle.
