San Marone ~ Marche IGT Pinot Nero | 2019

From hand-picked Pinot Nero grapes, this wine, aged for 18 months in barriques, has a good ruby red color which is lively and consistent. To the nose it is complex and elegant, notes of forest fruit, a fine touch of violet and spices. To the palette it is dense, silky, with great class, the fruitiness dominating with notes of redcurrants and raspberries and then leather, cocoa, tobacco, sweet spices, licorice with a soft touch of the wild game. A complex wine, satisfying and elegant.

Excellent with meat including game.
