Collection: LIDIA & AMATO
IN THE HEART OF ABRUZZO
The vineyards of Lida e Amato extend over a hilly area that slopes gently from north to south from the top of the Froscione hill to the basin of the Faenza torrent. The oldest plants in Montepulciano date back to the 60s of the last century with cuttings coming from the ancient vines clinging like a hut on the plants of Wicker (Salix Viminalis) that delimited the arable plots, the so-called Tavole, overlooking the farmhouse of the Quail.
This is still present today on the back of the Faenza hill where the ancient Oak of over 250 years also stands out. It was Giuseppina and Ernesto who made this choice, thus preserving for the future that Montepulciano strain that had best adapted there.
